New Teas and Teapots for the Holidays

We have two new White Teas to offer and a new Oolong. The Oolong is called Wuyi and is a Oolong that tends more towards the black teas, with 60 to 80% oxidation. It has a smooth mellow taste with a slight pepper finish. A favorite of the staff already. The Whites we have are a Christmas blend with almonds and a flavor reminisent of a sugar cookie. The other white is an Elderflower White. The Elderflower give a sweetness to the White tea from Southern India.
We are also putting together gift baskets for the holidays. Come and see some sample baskets, or we can do a custom one for you. We also just got in some new teapots and teabrewers that are really nice. Come by and receive a 1/2 oz of free organic tea (of your choice) with your retail teapot/teabrewing purchase.

NY Times!

Hey check out the link for our mention in the NY Times! They profiled 8 businesses downtown & siptea was one of them!
http://www.nytimes.com/indexes/2008/11/16/style/t/index.html#pageName=16map
So cool to be listed with the other great places downtown. Check them all out!
It's cool inside siptea & we have our plant wall to help filter the smoke, so beat the heat & bad air with a great iced tea. Tea helps boost your immune system & also helps open your lungs!
So stoked about the NY Times! Come in and mention the article & get a free tea.

Pottery Show

Lilith Rockett, the woman who made the cups at siptea and also the pendants for the hanging lights, has a gallery opening tonight at the Fifth Floor Gallery in Chinatown. Not sure how long it goes for, so will give more info soon, so people can check it out.

Here's to a New USA!

Well I have to say I went to bed glad that Obama had won the election. I was sad to see that Prop. 8 looks like it will pass, but I am hopeful it will be found unconstitutional.
Today I am very proud to be an American and hopeful that Obama can unite this country and make it better in the eyes of the world.
In the world of tea we experimented and came up with a great new drink for the holiday. An Egg Nog Latte, made with Caramel black tea. Really delicious. Come in for your organic holiday latte and sip a while...
